1. Nico Collins WR Texans
The fact that Nico is going as the sixth wide receiver in standard PPR drafts is crazy. His upside is so high with what we solved from last year that it is a no-brainer take in the late first round to early second in a 12-man league. Shout out to my boy Sebastian, he ended up taking him with the 12th pick in my draft. With CJ Stroud hopefully having a better year than last year, I expect Nico to be on the rise, getting the Baltimore, especially with Tank and Stefon hurt. I expect Nico to have an even bigger season and shoot to have a shot to be a top 3 PPR WR.

#2 Chase Brown RB Cincinnati Bengals
Chase Brown popped out of nowhere last year for the Bengals. After coming into his new role in Week 4 at Carolina, Brown was one of the most consistent Fantasy RBs out there. On ESPN in a 12-man PPR league, Brown can be as low as a middle 3rd-round pick! Which is nuts considering the production he put up. Not to mention the fact that the Bengals’ offence is one of the top in the league and will open up more and more for him. He’s going to be so good, and I am happy that I have him as my 12th-round keeper in one of my leagues. Chase is also Canadian, so that’s awesome as well. Either way, I am rooting for him, and He is a must take in the spot that he is in.

#3 Drake London WR Atlanta Falcons
Now, hey, I know this might be an interesting take, but…. I expect Drake to have a breakout season with a full year of QB Michael Penix Jr at the helm. Drake had a solid 2024 season from Kirk to Penix. I am excited to see his breakout season and the points that pile in with it. I think the Falcons have found their guy in Penix, and now it’s time for the Offence to get going. The O just hasn’t lived up to expectations, and it’s caused them to lose many years in the horrid NFC South. Drake could be a key piece to break out and get them that Division title. I won’t fall for the Pitts hype again, but the London hype, I have already tripped all over it.
Drake London has been my 10th overall player and WR4 in best ball and redraft all summer. He’s an absolute alpha and his QB is very, very good. Perfect combination in a fantastic fantasy environment. pic.twitter.com/8lV1nGgl9u
My key tips for new drafters are to not always trust the rankings, there may be rankings, there may be TikToker rankings, but go with the guys that you’ve researched and trust to have that high upside. Overall, these three players are just guys that I look for to have breakout seasons, but there’s always a lot more that you can research on. Also, don’t believe things that TikTokers are saying, there are a lot of different takes out there, and it can also depend on the scoring system and members in your league, the basis of it, though, is to just look for sleepers and try to go have fun. Most teams don’t win on draft night; they win on the moves they make in the season, so don’t overthink it too much and have some fun.
